About Our Founder

Adrian Walsh is the founder and CEO of CheckVentory, which he started in 2013 to solve a problem he'd lived with first-hand: lenders and distributors extending millions in credit against vehicle stock they couldn't reliably see or verify.

That problem wasn't theoretical for him. Before founding CheckVentory, Adrian spent nearly six years as Managing Director of Fiat Group Ireland, where he also chaired the Credit Committee — carrying real dealer-credit exposure as a self-funding distributor through the 2008–2012 financial crisis.

Working daily with dealers on cashflow and floorplan through that period gave him an unusually complete view of stock funding: from the bank's side, the distributor's side, and the dealer's side at once.

Earlier senior roles at BMW and Nissan Ireland deepened his grasp of the manufacturer–distributor–dealer relationship the whole model runs on.

His earlier career was in enterprise software, selling and deploying business-process systems into banking and financial services across Asia and the US. It's that combination — automotive floorplan finance on one side, IT and process on the other — that shaped CheckVentory: technology built by someone who understood the risk before he understood how to automate it away.
